JV girls have little trouble against Malibu Sharks on softball field

The JV girl’s softball team proved to be a tough opponent again for Malibu, beating the Sharks, 16-4. The Lady Cards had earlier defeated Malibu 16-3 at Malibu. Yvonne Alamillo was on the mound for Santa Paula. She allowed seven hits and one walk, while striking out five.Amanda Venegas had a home run and two RBIs. Lindsey Matchett recorded a triple and double for three RBIs. Jaclyn Kohr had a double, as did Nicole Sliger and Megan Prentice. Kohr brought in two runs, Sliger brought three home and Prentice had three RBIs. Venegas was 4-4 for the day. Kohr and Prentice each were 3-4.
