Sister Snelders and Sister Pearce from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are hosting a musical fireside at 6:30 p.m. on September 11 at 604 Ojai Road. The event is planned as “an enjoyable evening of gathering with your friends and neighbors.” Sister Snelders and Sister Pearce are natives of Idaho, currently serving as missionaries to the Santa Paula community. They state they have “put our lives on hold for 18 months, including university degrees, careers, relationships, family and friends in order to serve and share the message of the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ that we love.”They invite contact with Santa Paulans: “If you see us, wave to us!” Church services are held at 9 a.m. on Sundays at 604 Ojai Rd., and visitors are always welcome. In conclusion, “This message we share is not to take away from what you have, but to simply add to it. If you would like to know more, you are welcome to call 644-1034, our Mission Headquarters, or stop us on the street, or ask a member of our congregation.”
