SCVBank selects Contractor for Corporate Office

Santa Clara Valley Bank (SCVBank;OTC BB: SCVE.OB) announced that it has selected the general contractor to build its new corporate offices in the 4,000 SF ground floor of the Clock Tower building at 866 East Main Street, Santa Paula, Ca.
Ms. Cheryl Knight, President and CEO, reported that the winning bidder was Colborn & Associates, Inc., a local construction firm whose specialties include custom residential and commercial construction as well as historic restorations, having served Ventura County for over 30 years. The firm’s founders, Chris Wilson and Jake Colborn, maintain an excellent reputation of integrity and a commitment to high quality work, employing sustainable and environmentally responsible techniques and resources. Chris Wilson serves on the Board of Directors of the Santa Paula Art Museum.
Architectural plans and services are being provided by Cathy Wilson of Rasmussen & Associates; space planning was completed by Susan Kulwiec of Kulwiec & Associates. The Clock Tower space is being leased from the Independent Order of the Oddfellows, the oldest fraternal organization in Santa Paula, founded in 1884. The new facility will consolidate corporate functions to improve efficiency including executive, finance, technology, compliance, credit and operations directly across the street from the bank’s Main Office. Ms. Knight said she expects to move in near the end of the year. She added that this much larger, professional and efficient facility would not increase the bank’s monthly facility costs and would provide room for growth
President Knight said that the bank is very pleased to work with local professionals to renovate historic buildings and invest in the downtown area. She added that SCVBank recently completed a remodel of the bank’s Main Office in Santa Paula to be more efficient while retaining its openness to customers and historic charm. The bank’s Chairman of the Board, Scott Rushing, commented that the bank is the only locally owned, community bank in the Santa Clara Valley and is committed to building for the future and increasing shareholder value.
Ms. Knight retains an office in the Main Office along with Maria Bombara, Marketing Director, and Jill Gregorchuk, Manager of Branch Administration.
